THE QUIET CLUB
The Quiet Club (Mick O'Shea and Danny McCarthy),
formed early 2006, continue to grow as one of Irelands leading
electro acoustic improvisation groups.
They have worked with numerous artists
(Harry Moore, Christian Carley, Mark Wastell, John Godfrey,
Viv Corringham, plus others) over the course of the past
year.
The Quiet Club have performed at festivals in Ireland, Germany
and Japan as well as their ever-popular Quiet Club events
in Cork, including their now infamous Sonic Vigils.
They perform using a wide mixture of sound sources ranging
from circuit bending, homemade instruments, amplified textures,
stones, Theremins, samplers and various other electronic
devices.
