DEAF
JUNIOR
Once again we are delighted to bring you DEAF Junior in collaboration with the Ark. As festival weekend approaches in late October we will be offering children aged 11-14 the opportunity to take part in a fun, practical, hands-on course in playing and recording their own electronic music. Professionally tutored, the workshop will also feature a special guest performance from word renowned theremin- player and DEAF guest, Pamelia Kurstin.
Over the course of three days, budding junior electronic artists can learn how to use the recordings they make to write their own music, and will then work together to arrange and record their own compositions - which they can take away with them on CD at the end of the course. Previous musical experience may help, but is by no means essential; only enthusiasm is required, along with a willingness to learn and work as part of a team.
