Jazztronik: A highly popular name in the Japanese house scene, Ryota Nozaki brings his jazz and soul-inspired work to Dublin for DEAF.

Trained in classical and traditional music and an accomplished musician in his own right, Nozaki is equally at home in a live band environment as he is in the role of DJ/producer, recently showcasing his skills at orchestration in a 14-strong line-up.

Heavily inspired by the likes of George Duke and Herbie Hancock, Nozaki’s Latin/Brazilian-inspired style effortlessly crosses the boundaries between house and broken beats – as remixes for London Elektricity, and DJ support from names such as Gilles Peterson and Louie Vega have testified to. With four albums released since 1998, the prolific Nozaki has now upped the ante, promising to release up to three albums per year.
