Power FM is Dublin’s award-winning online digital radio station. A community of over 40 DJs, producers, artists, musicians, designers, Power currently broadcasts over 90 hours of live shows programming every week from its Dublin studios, all archived for on-demand listening. In addition, it regularly hosts live broadcasts from venues, clubs and cultural institutions around the city, and along with broadcasts from abroad.

Power FM first began broadcasting in the back garden of a semi-detached in Palmerstown, Dublin in 1993. After moving to Dublin city centre in 1998, the station became a port of call for artists visiting Dublin , and Derrick May, Jazzanova, Kevin Saunderson, Suburban Knight, Ewan Pearson, Mixmaster Morris, Afrika Bambaata, Portishead and Andy Smith are among those who guested on air.

Future projects include a Power FM iPhone App complete with access to the vast archives. More announcements on additional digital platforms are also expected in the coming months. This special event for DEAF brings together Power FM DJs past and present, with thanks to DEAF, The Pygmalion and their residents.
