Hailing from the German coastal town of Kiel, Ulrich Schnauss has released three albums under his own name to date (’Far Away Trains Passing By’, ‘A Strangely Isolated Place’ and ‘Goodbye’), along with other work under various pseudonyms including View To The Future, Ethereal 77 and Hexaquart.

Blending electronica with grungy shoegaze reverb-laden tones, his melodic hooks have a wide appeal that has seen him remix the likes of Depeche Mode, Coldplay and Johannes Schmoelling (formerly of Tangerine Dream).Currently working on his fourth solo album, Ulrich will debut new material for DEAF. This will be one of his few live appearances in 2009.
