Donnacha Costello (Minimise / Look Long)

Writing music for twenty years, Costello’s music draws on the contemporary sound of Berlin and Detroit as much as on the repetitive minimalism and experimental urgings of the classical avant-garde. In 2000 he began to release 12″ singles on his own label Minimise, the highlight of hich became his epic ‘Colors’ series – ten records recorded live on analog gear without a computer. March 2009 saw the end of Minimise and the start of his new label – Look Long.

Move D (Source Records, Germany) and Juan Atkins (Metroplex – Detroit). Currently promoting SWIRL every Sunday in 4 Dame Lane, Subject are also bookers / resident DJs at Pod.
