Lief Ryan:

Lief Ryan is the dj/producer founder of Growth Recordings, an independent techno label based in Wales. His live performances are gaining him ever-increased recognition, storming Ugly Funk in London, Bloc Weekend, Bashout in Bristol and numerous European gigs with a twisted wonky techno/electro style…

“Regarded by many as one of the great new talents of UK techno, and certainly demonstrating a healthy degree of originality. Although he undoubtedly has one foot in the camp of wonk, there is also a refreshing directness that makes his music a killer choice for tougher clubs. Influences drawn from breaks and grime production give the bottom end a satisfying weight and throb, while elements of the programming certainly owe a debt to ‘classic’ techno and wonky producers such as Neil Landstrumm. Maybe it is his location in Manchester that gives his productions the edge that they have, certainly they sound a lot more street-wise and less self-conscious than many of his more Southern contemporaries. Whatever, this is a strong four track EP that is sure to gain him more attention.” (Review of Lief’s ‘Las Vegas of the North’ by futurebeatmusic.com)

Robbie Ryan:

Currently Robbie is DJ and proud co-promoter of Big Dish Go, booking guests that include Luke Vibert, Ivan Smagghe, Housemeister, Mark Broom, Marc Houle, Jerome Hill, Altern8, Radioactive Man, Andrew Weatherall, Distance, Jazzsteppa, Mary Anne Hobbs and Octave one. Previously resident for 515 in Tripod and POD, Robbie has has also performed with a who’s who of Dublin promoters and was co-founder of the legendary ‘Murkey Nights’ events in Tailor’s Hall. Over the years he has played in most of the city’s best clubs, along with appearances at The Lake of Stars in Malawi, Electric Picnic, Solas and Life Festival. As a DJ Robbie Ryan is versatile - whether he’s creating a night woven with dark and dirty beats, or charging up the dance floor with electronic tracks bursting with blistering bouncing bass lines, Robbie intuitively works a room with his creative mixing and programming style.
