Love Music Hate Racism Ireland

LMHR Ireland is a non-profit collective, dedicated to fighting the growth of racism and fascism in Ireland. They recently launched their Sight and Awareness Campaign and aim to promote education and understanding of other cultures through musical events.

The economic downturn has created the perfect breeding ground for anger towards immigrants, asylum seekers and foreigners in general. LMHR is an open group and are looking forward to establishing a network of members across the country to campaign against racism, and put on music orientated events. Go to www.lmhrireland.com for more details.

Mute Fish Take two Lithuanians, an Irish, a Polish and a Ukrainian…add surf music, folk music and traditional music from each of their respective countries and you get Mute Fish. This five piece manage to fuse elements of what seems an impossible mix , and make it sound the way it should. One minute you’re in a scene of Pulp Fiction, the next you’re at an Eastern European Ceili! Expect some twisted ankles at The Twisted Pepper.
